My Music Story
Anthony Mitchell, better known by his stage name Ant Tha Giant (aka ATG), is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and actor from the Bronx, NY. Maryland born but raised in New York, Ant Tha Giant began writing music in 2012 and instantly fell in love with the art. What started out as a hobby for ATG became a burning passion, which you can feel in every song that he creates. In late 2015 he began taking the music seriously and has since been honing his skills and perfecting his craft, working towards a global takeover.
With heavy influences of Eminem, D12, Hopsin, Ludacris, and OutKast in his music, Ant Tha Giant brings a unique and refreshing style of rap to the table which is raw and highly animated. With heavy focuses on lyricism, in depth story telling, complex rhyme schemes and witty wordplay, blended in with catchy melodies that he often includes in his music, ATG delivers this lethal combination using various intricate flows that leave his listeners in awe every time they hear his music.
To break into the game, Ant Tha Giant released his first mixtape, “Welcome to Ant’z World” in 2017. This 16 track project takes listeners on an in depth journey of ATG’s life, giving a deep understanding of who he is on a personal level. He openly puts his life on display on various hit singles from the project, such as “Make it Through” featuring the powerhouse singer Marenikae, “Day By Day” and the iconic fan favorite, “Sallie Mae”. To follow up his mixtape, Ant Tha Giant released a series of singles as well as remixes, and is currently in the works to release his independent debut album, “The Grind” in 2023.
Ant Tha Giant has performed in established independent showcases and competitions such as Power 105.1FM’s Power Is Industry, Coast 2 Coast, where he placed as a 3rd place winner among 28 artists, Showcase Tour, Hip Hop Seazon and more. He has also been a featured artist for iStandard Producer showcases in both NYC, at the legendary venue, DROM and Washington D.C. at the Eighteenth Street Lounge. He has also rocked crowds with vigorous energy at other various venues across New York City including Wicked Willy’s, Falucka Lounge, The West End, Blackthorn 51, Sunnyvale, The Paperbox, NUBLU Classic and more.
